American professor and well-known political expert, Alon Ben-Meir, has said that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has had to know he will not receive US and EU support until he lifts his taxes. As he goes along, he views the VVA leader as a person willing to fight, writes Metro newspaper.
Through a writing on the social network Facebook, Ben-Meir stressed that the country needs a stable government and to deal well with this crisis, not someone like Albin Kurti.
The “Kurti should have known that he would receive neither support from the EU nor from the US as long as the Kosovo-set fee for Serbian goods remains in force. Kosovo needs a stable and fully functional government to deal with this crisis, and not someone like Kurti, who is willing to create non-stop conflicts with international partners and coalition partners”, he has written.
We remember that the government in charge of Albin Kurti was brought down with a no-confidence motion initiated by the LDK, with 82 votes for, writes Metro newspaper.
After that, the country's President Hashim Thaci has confirmed that he will start consultations with political subjects to get the Mandarin's name, where he has invited Kurti for the first meeting on Wednesday at 10:00.
From the Vetevendosje Movement, they have declared that they do not accept any technical government, but have called for the country to go to the polls once the situation created with the Devov-19 pandemic ends.
As for other parties, the LDK has expressed itself ready to start talks with the president so that the new government can be formed as soon as possible.
And from the US, Ambassador Richard Green has said that Americans will co-operate with each Government, which is able to remove the 100 per cent tax without conditions and reciprocity.
