The following is his full status on Facebook:
Dear citizens,
I'm sorry that a statement of mine today has been issued from the context, precisely by those who have pushed ahead of the government and institutional crisis agenda at this time of COVID-19.
Since I'm in politics, I've always made invitations to quiet citizens and solve political problems with dialogue. I continue with such a request, and whoever gives my sayings another way, let him keep it.It's yours.
Today, I have only expressed sorrow and the feeling that losers of the October 6th election by their actions are wanting the country to run in the revolution, for which we are all against. If anyone understood my statement as calling for a brother's murder, I apologize.
However, I ask the president to announce the elections, because it is the best way out of this situation after the motion vote.
