A view of what our planet would look like if the oceans evaporated

Former employee of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, (NASA), has published an interesting video showing what the planet's view would look like if the oceans covering three fifths of the surface would evaporate. Scientist James O'Donoghue, who now works at the Japanese Space Agency (JAXA), has re-published a 2008 video which was made by the animationr of NASA, Horace Mitchell.

In the first seconds of the video, it is seen as the first land to emerge below the sea is those regions that surround the edges of continental land, known as the <x0-secrate continental”).

These <x0frarate” make up about eight percent of the total surface area covered by the Earth's oceans.

They are located some 100 feet [460 m] below sea level, in addition to those in Arctic and Antarctic, where <x0 seraphs” are in greater depth.

“I slowed down a little bit of the start of the video, as surprisingly, there are many underwater landscapes discovered immediately in the first tens of times”, OyDonoghue said.

Some of these continental <x0 armies were exposed thousands of years ago, and ancient people used them to travel to places they had not visited before.

Experts think that the population that would become the first Americans traveled over this <x0 Land> ” that once connected eastern Siberia with Alaska about 16,000 years ago.

In the last age of glaciers, ocean water became ice on both poles of the planet, which is why the bridges of the earth existed, has added OʹDonoghue.

“Secila from these connections enabled people to migrate and when the ice age ended, water flooded them”, he added.

To the point where ocean levels drop about 2,000m and 3,000m, medium ocean ridges begin to appear.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), this continuous range of underwater volcanoes is actually the most extensive mountain engineering on Earth”, which spans more than 65 thousand feet [65 thousand m].

Middle ocean ridges form along the borders of tectonic plates, which are leaving one another.

As the plates split, it follows the telegram, the molten earth rises from below the crust of the planet, which is then cooled, creating the underwater mountains.

Although this system of ridges is wide, scientists still know very little about it and about detailed details, using underwater vehicles and remote - driven vehicles but have so far been limited to small areas.

After the sea level drops nearly 6,000 feet [6,000 m], the oceans disappear, except for the deepest holes on earth.

These include “Handek Mariana” in the western part of the Pacific Ocean, which extends to an extraordinary depth of 10,000 feet (10,000 m), this distance is roughly equal to the altitude many aircraft fly.

I like how this animation reveals that the ocean suspect is just as variable and interesting in its geology as the continents”, O'Donoghue said.
