Ibrahim “Mic” Baycora was sworn in by her left hand in a copy of Kur '%an as the 17th chief of police in the town of Patterson during a ceremony in town hall.
Speaking at this ceremony, the mayor of Patterson, Andre Sayegh, greeted those present in Turkish.
“in US history Baycora will be the first Turkish police chief. He will be the first Muslim police chief in the town of Patterson”, Sayegh said, adding that with this gesture the US has made history.
There is a possibility in this country. It doesn't matter where it comes from, Baycora said. / ATSH
