Thaci invites think-tanks to become part of current for Kosovo, Western Balkans

At the first meeting with James Carafano, deputy chairman of the “The Heritage Foundation”, President Thaci said Kosovo aspires to NATO and EU membership.
Kosovo's “Membership in NATO and the EU means less anti-Western ideology throughout the Western Balkans”, President Thaci said, and added that to move forward Kosovo is working on reaching a peace agreement with Serbia to be freed from the past and moving forward.
While at the meeting with Jane Harman in the “The Wilson Center”, President Thaci said that Kosovo is very lucky to enjoy bi-partisan support in Washington.
“In support for Kosovo, in Washington, there are no differences between parties”, President Thaci said, and added that it is important that the United States of America push ahead with the consolidation processes of the Western Balkans.
At both meetings, President Thaci said the story of Kosovo is the common story of Kosovo and the United States of America, and added that this story needs the last chapter that is the final peace agreement with Serbia and NATO and EU integration.
President Thaci said that a new moment has been created with the direct commitment of US President Donald Trump and through special envoy, Ambassador Grenelli, and invited this moment created to bring peace, stability and economic development to Kosovo and throughout the Balkans.
