Thaci and Cakaj: Now remove the border between Kosovo and Albania

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has received Albania's acting foreign minister, Gent Cakaj, at the meeting. President Thaci thanked Cakaj for his commitment to Kosovo, thanked Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and all Albanian institutions, as he said, being unique to Kosovo.

Kosovo's “Freedom and independence, also directly linked to Albania's contribution, but even now to Kosovo's membership in international organisations, a co-ordination is required between Pristina and Tirana. Minister Cakaj has given a new dynamic, a new spirit of consolidation of the state of Kosovo in every instance that the Republic of Albania participates in. Therefore, on behalf of Kosovo's institutions and people, thank you for your contribution, Mr. Minister and Prime Minister Edi Rama, and all the institutions of Albania that have a unique attitude for Kosovo. Even now when we start with a new phase of consolidation, economic development, Euro-Atlantic perspective, focus European integration, but also a space between us without borders, movement of people and goods. Meanwhile, Minister Cakaj said he is in Pristina to express commitment to continuing joint projects.

“We are ready to begin for breaching the border between Kosovo and Albania. We have taken care of where Kosovo is not present, to shout its voice. I want to thank Kosovo for the solidarity it has done for the earthquake. We are two states, but we are one nation. I have come to Kosovo to express readiness to continue projects between us and create a co-ordinated political agenda”, Cakaj has said. /Periscope.
