According to her, 140 planned flights were also canceled for the day and Monday, Reuters reports, adding that German airline Lufthansa had cancelled all long and short-term flights from Munich Airport by 1: 00 p.m.
Lufthansa has also cancelled flights to airports in Hamburg, Berlin, Hanover, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Kiln and Stuttgart.
Because of the Chiara storm, which is called Sabine in Germany, there was an end to the railway traffic.
German railway company Deutsche Ban has warned it will suspend long transportation lines across Germany and Europe from 1700 p.m. onward
