Russian Ambassador: Desire for a quick solution for Kosovo naught of concern

Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko says he does not believe there is a quick solution to the Kosovo issue “except if it is imposing a solution that is not acceptable to Belgrade, such as recognising Kosovo independence”.

The request for a quick solution is disturbing. It looks like creating known deadlines that have made previous talks on Kosovo unsuccessful. I think of Ahtisaari's talks and the Troika talks,” he told Blic.

Thus the Russian ambassador has responded when asked how he views US efforts to resolve the Belgrade-Pristina relations issue in the short term.
