World-renowned physician operates patients at QKUK

At the Kosovo University Clinic of Toraque Surgery, the world - renowned surgeon Dr. Diego Gonzales Rivas, under the support of KKUK medical staff, is conducting operations with minimal invasive methods.

The director of the Toracal Surgery Clinic, Saudin Maliqi, says that thanks to voluntary assistance from Dr. Gonzales, video operations are being conducted through minimal invasive methods. According to him, this doctor works worldwide and has the largest center that promotes and deals with this invasive method.

“This is the videourgic method that enables intervention with minimal invasive method, we'll work 3 to 4 cases, by cutting or recording two inches, this is the minimum invasive method, the patient next day goes home, has little pain, and with the surgery the wound opens 15 to 18 centire” he stressed.

On the other hand, Dr. Diego, underlined that this is the second time that comes to Kosovo and operates patients with the most advanced approach.

According to him, the benefit of patients and medical staff is high. He expressed satisfaction with the professional interest and potential doctors from Kosovo are showing.
