This study explores people's perception of the process of interethnic reconciliation in Kosovo, problems, challenges and opportunities aiming to find out how, from the perspective of citizens, Kosovo institutions, donors and international organisations can better support reconciliation in Kosovo.
For the purposes of this study, 451 Kosovars have been surveyed, as well as 12 focus groups realised in seven multiethnic municipalities, respectively, in Prizren, South Mitrovica, North Mitrovica, Kamenica, Shtrpce, Gracanica, and Istog. Polls and focus groups have been conducted during the June-July 2019 months.
The results show that despite tensions, most respondents believe reconciliation is necessary in Kosovo, even though they differ in their understanding of reconciliation when it comes to forgiveness, forgiveness and forgetting.
More details from the report will be presented during the launch.
The Public Pulse Project and this study in particular are provided by USAID in Kosovo.
Christina T will attend the event. Davis, director of the Office for Democracy and Governance and Maria Sukoko, the UNDP's Permanent Representative in Kosovo.
