Disgruntled applicants with the recent employment process at the Trepca Company, on the third day of the protest, are protesting in front of the Trepca Mine in Stantrg, calling for their arrival among Kosovo Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development to resolve the problem.
On the contrary, they warned from Thursday, including participation in protests by children, students, disabled persons, and others.
Nehat Mehmeti, one of the mine worker competition applicants, has made it known to Kosova Preis that people who have had fewer points have been accepted in this competition, while others have been rejected with almost maximum number of points.
I have my list of written test results in my hand, and I also have the final list of accepted persons. On the writing test I got 94 percent of the points, while there are applicants who received 53 percent on the test and are on the accepted list”, Mehmeti said.
He says that he lives with his parents, his wife, and two children as he continues to look for work everywhere, with no choice at all, despite his college degree.
Even Alkan Halili, another superior education applicant at the competition, a graduate geologist, said that despite having achieved maximum scores on the test, it has remained outside the list of those accepted.
According to him, all basic workers' rights were violated during this competition, because the main condition for accession was money and party positioning.
I applied for a simple laborer, I didn't admit, even though I passed the test, I got the maximum test scores, but in the end I didn't have enough of these guys. There have been irregularities here, the workers' rights have been violated... they've dealt with internationally, they've got people working on their parents here... the first who was money and the second being party, that we haven't been. That's 5 grand, 6 thousand to 10 thousand euros”, Halili stressed.
On the other hand, Edsim Musa, from the protest council, has demanded the arrival of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, as well as Minister of Economic Development, in order to reach an agreement on resolving this problem.
On the contrary, he added, tomorrow's protest will lead to children, students, disabled persons, elders, and young people.
“We ask Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and the Minister of Economic Development to come here to us and solve these dates and troubles... otherwise, if they don't come, tomorrow we have students, disabled people, old and new”, explain to Kosova Preris Musa.
The protest is continuing calm and police forces are present all the time, which are monitoring the situation closely. Otherwise, protesters at this point while reporting have pitched tents and brought stoves and fuels in which they are standing from time to time because of the cold weather that is ruling in Stanton.
