Prosecutor seeks life prison for Kosovo causing fatal accident in Germany

Regarding the illegal race of vehicles, finished with fatality in Moers, the public prosecutor in the process under way at the Land Court in Kleve, has sought life in prison for murder, due to 22-year-old cause of the accident, Kosovo citizen writes dpa.de.

For the second defendant, German national, who was leading the next car in the race, the prosecution has demanded a conditional two-year sentence for participating in a banned car race, with fatal consequences.

Judges in Kleve are expected to declare the sentence this afternoon.

Kosovar and German people reportedly have held a contest in their residential area in Moers near Duisburg, with their cars 550 and 600 kf. The 22-year-old Kosovo had crashed into a woman's small car, broadcasts albinfo.ch. The 43-year-old girl was knocked out of the car and died three days later. According to expertise, the car caused the accident to speed up to 167 miles per hour during the race.

In the trial, the driver who was not directly involved in the accident has apologized to the family of the murdered woman, records albinfo.ch. In a statement read by his lawyer, he says: “I am deeply sorry for what happened. I'd like to undo what happened.
