New opposition does not rule out protests over 100% tax

Replacing the 100 per cent tax on Serbian and Bosnian goods with the extent of reciprocity by political analysts is seen as the most reasonable move in the face of Serbia's aggressive policies. However, they feel that this should be applied, not to use populist games. Replacing the tax is considered to have political costs [...]
The recogniser of the political circumstances, Rasim Alija told Kp, that the reciprocity measure has been under its programme, Albin Kurti. In spite of this, it is very important how this measure will be decided, but the tax should not go away without imposing the extent of reciprocity.
What's important is that there's a plan by the government for replacing the tax, which is that the policies of Vetevendosje come to plan as far as reciprocity is concerned. And the rest is the resistance of the opposition in this AAK case as a policy determined by those who don't remove taxes. But it needs to be looked up. More important than setting the measure of reciprocity is how it is decided. And that's where the opposition gets involved. Without a literal debate in the Assembly and without a preliminary plan of the Vetevendosje and LDK Movement for replacing the tax with the measure of reciprocity, and above all the consequences that could be taken away for the difficulties of imposing the tax, I think it would not have to be hasty or to make any kind of decision”, Alija says.
According to him, imposing reciprocity measures will have political costs for Prime Minister Kurti.
This is the political cost that Kurti can pay with the replacement of the tax with the extent of reciprocity, which is costing a very pronounced opposition and, above all, some very high-ton opposition, as we have seen in the day of government formation. There will be criticism, and there are no exceptions to possible tax removal. But this is the political cost Kurti will pay for replacing reciprocity”, Alija said.
Kosovo chief of executive reciprocity with Serbia has even mentioned during the week, for which, according to Albin Kurti, will also have opposition support.
“We don't put Serbia and Bosnia in the same sentence ever. So much historical and for actual reasons. We consider that we are here, where we as the new government also because of our pledge that with Serbia we will have reciprocity, political, economic and trade as the replacement for the 100 per cent fee. We do not say that we will return to asymmetric relations with Serbia, rather we will advance by transforming our subjectivity into issues of integrity and dignity in the principle which is best known in its value in bilateral neighbourly reports, and that is reciprocity. Both LDK and LVV and Mrs. Osmani and I - over 60 percent of the votes in Kosovo among Albanians have been with the principle of reciprocity. I believe that even those who are today in opposition or those who did not vote on us may not agree with me on different things, but for reciprocity agree to”, Kurti said.
In this regard, political affairs connoisseur, Nundman Pacarizi said over the phone to Kp that the tax must be removed, and reciprocity must be applied.
I think in the interest of advancing the tax process should be lifted. I think she's done it. As for reciprocity, it should apply absolutely, but not by advertising or proclaiming. It means that there is a need for incentive and pride, but it simply applies. Such a way may not be popular for the government, but this government should make the difference in this sense even, not populist games, but work and realistic approach and co-operation with the US and the EU, Germany and other allies” respectively, said Pacarizi.
As for the resumption of dialogue with Serbia, Pacarizi says it is impossible without co-operation between the opposition position.
For dialogue, opposition support depends on the format of dialogue and approach that Prime Minister Kurti will build. It is a source of hope his changed approach in relation to President Thaci, who has begun to consider him an accomplice rather than a political enemy. Dialogue and agreement with Serbia is impossible without close and open co-operation. After all, our non-co-operation experience has had a lot of”, he declares.
In addition, Rasim Alija estimates that the head of government will not prioritize the question of dialogue. However, according to him, a key role for another approach to the start of dialogue will be after visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The latter after taking office has invited Kurt to visit Berlin.
