The Kosovo Oil Association today has sent a letter of request to Prime Minister Albin Kurti to regulate the oil market, which requires that there be criteria for building gas stations according to EU standards.
They say they have fundamentally opposed building new gas stations, but such demand has run into deaf ears so far.
“One of the EU standards is the distance between gas stations, on local-communal roads of 5 to 10km, the magic route of 10 to 15km, as well as the highway from 20 to 25km. So we ask you to take steps as quickly as possible on this very sensitive issue as we are the smallest state in the world, but with more of it being gas stations in the world”, that is how the request sent to Prime Minister Kurti is said.
Further in the letter, they are said to call on the prime minister to make sure that this criterion is respected overall.
