The murder of Chermendid: Confession of Family Members

Former fighter of Kemim Kelmendi's KLA was found burned in his car in the village of Zahaq, Pec, in the early hours of this morning.

His brother, Osman Kelmendi, has confessed to Klan Kosovo that tragic news of his brother's death has been received by family members.

He has expressed confidence that his brother, Ayrim Kelmendi, has been ambushed where he was executed to burn him back in his last car.

“I was in Pristina, my grandson told me that something terrible happened”.

Osman, however, has said that at present the family does not suspect anyone, since they do not know who could do so.

Osman Kelmendi declared that his late brother was a soldier The KLA that has fought alongside people who have loved Kosovo well.

He was a former soldier. He was a friend of Zahir Pajazit and Ilir Konushevci. My brother never had a fight or a problem with anyone. This death comes as a result of the liberation and freedom of Kosovo”.

But another brother of the Kelmends thinks otherwise. Ibrahim Kelmendi, a member of the Kosovo People's Movement, has made a fierce public accusation.

Meanwhile, police have detailed the case, saying they were initially informed that a car is being burned in the village of Zahaq.

When the Pec Police Station units had gone to the scene they noticed that the car was completely involved in the fire.

Instead of the incident, they went to the fire department who, while they were tracking the fire, saw the carbonized body of Kelmendi in the car.

Cermendi is suspected to have been first executed and then burned inside his car at the entrance of Peja village of Zahaq.

But, Peja Foundation Prosecutor's spokesman Shkodran Nikci, has said they still cannot provide much details about the case without the investigation being conducted.

However, he has stated that the first allegations indicate that Kemim Kelmendi was first executed and then burned inside his car at the entrance of the village of Zahaq.

In this case, President Hashim Thaci and former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj have reacted.
