In Albania, President Ilir Meta declared today that he will deposit criminal conglomeration to Justice Minister Etilda Gjonaj for publishing in the official notebook of a ruling by the Justice Council.
“The Justice Minister by ordering the Secretary General to send for publication to the Official Library, a KED decision has flagrantly violated Law “For the body and operation of the State Publications Centre”, as well as for the “Law for Rule of the Justice System Organs”, President Meta said.
The case in question is the November 9th 2019 edition of the ruling that the Court of Court of Justice made in September for the assessment and ranking of candidates for members of the Constitutional Court. The publication was considered by the majority at the time, as an act that he automatically called candidate Arta Vorpsi, but which for President Ilir Meta constituted a move aimed at obtaining a competence belonging to him.
Even last night, Mr. Meta and his legal adviser, indicated that the rulings of the Justice Council do not enter the category of acts published in the official Library and that the order issued by the Secretary of Justice was illegal because the authorship for the publication gives the body its release. On the other hand, they noted that the publishing order was given before parliament addressed the ministry, with such a request.
Mr. Meta said today that Prime Minister Gjonaj had committed several criminal acts, from “using the task” to <x2.
For her part, Mrs. Gjonaj named “a consecutive nonsense on the part of President” and was willing to respond legally, claiming she has no intention of resigning. Lady Gjonaj, however, did not explain whether the order on the part of the ministry she heads for publishing the KED decision is in accordance with the law.
For her part and the opposition reacted by stressing that “has no more important task now for SPAK than investigating constitutional crime for apprehending the Constitutional Court by the ruling mafia organisation”. According to Democratic Party Secretary-General Gazmend White “instead of the chief's sms games, Etilda Gjonaj must say today why he violated the law and constitution. He should not hide behind the boss's text, but answer for acting as Ardian Dvoran's secretary to unjustly rob a seat in the Constitutional Court on behalf of Edi Rama. Silence over the crime committed is a statement! He must be investigated and punished.
