Skender Hyseni from the LDK says no unilateral actions should be done and that the tax should be lifted under specific and internationally guaranteed terms, but also with co-operation with the entire political spectrum.
As for reciprocity, Hyseni has declared that there must be clarity, because he adds that full reciprocity goes as far as recognising Kosovo's passports and cars from Serbia, which means recognition of our state.
My position on the tax is universally known. I strongly support the tax when it is decided, against Serbia's aggressiveness in the international field. The tax is not a necessary instrument, but it must not be sworn and must remain as it is. You have to act in a conform situation and new demands, you have to seriously consider, there should be consultations with the entire political spectrum, so there should be unilateral action”, Hyseni has declared in an interview for Infocus.
He has further said that the internationals insist on tax removal, but according to him this tax should be lifted under specific and internationally guaranteed vows on Serbia's part.
As for reciprocity, Hyseni sends the message to Prime Minister Kurti saying such an event must be analysed.
“I hope this is well analysed, because it's about a period of Kosovo-Serbia developments that requires complete clarity even from international factors. The application of full reciprocity amounts to the irresistib condition of residential recognition, license plates, passports that are recognition of the state of Kosovo. If this is the most appropriate period, I'm not quite sure, maybe my experience in negotiating from Rambouillet makes me more comfortable. It needs to be analysed, in close harmonisation with the US and the EU. I don't believe unilateral steps contribute to further processes, maximum care must be”, Hyseni said.
