A Florida citizen carrying a knife was arrested outside the White House after telling a Secret Service officer that he had come to kill the president.
According to police Roger Hedgpeth 25, he was arrested Saturday afternoon. Hedgpeth had approached a Secret Service officer who was patrolling outside the White House and told him he was there to kill President Donald Trump and that he had with him a knife aimed at committing the crime was said in an Associated Press police report provided.
“I am here to kill President Donald Trump!” warned Hedgpeth, adding that “had a knife with him”
After the raid the police found a knife in his body and an empty pistol case. Hedgpeth is being held in custody as well as sent to the hospital for a mental health assessment.
