The Express newspaper has learned on Thursday night, from its reliable sources, that Kurti's half measures have been rejected by the White House.
US President Donald Trump's special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Richard Green has rejected Kurt's proposals to lift the fee on Serbia, to pave the way for continuing dialogue, sources suggest.
Kosovo chief's half measures have been rejected and President Trump's National Security adviser, Robert O'Brien, have shown sources.
Before the reaction came from Washington, Kosovo's first deputy prime minister, Avdullah Hoti, has talked about pressure from the United States of America and other international partners in the country to lift the 100 per cent fee on goods from Serbia.
Hoti has downplayed Prime Minister Kurti's present-day proposal for the partial and conditional removal of the fee.
According to him, what Kurt has done is not enough to meet international demand.
I believe there is no time for solutions. There is no intermediate route for partnership with the US”, Hoti declared on “Pressing” on T7 television.
We can't be creative either on listing different points or in paraphrasing issues of eloquence. It's over. It's over.
Today, Kurti has decided to lift the fee for first substance imported from Serbia, starting March 15th.
And if Serbia bans the non-friendly campaign, then by April 1st the tariff will be completely removed for a 90-day period.
The prime minister said that if Serbia does not reflect, on April 1st the gradual implementation of reciprocity will begin.
