Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is aiming to make military service mandatory. In the government's plan, harmonised between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo, it is stressed that they will start preparations for mandatory military service in line with the best practices and standards of NATO countries.
But procedures on how the government plans to do such a thing “Kurti” have not yet let them know. The Ministry of Defence has stressed to the newspaper “Voice” that to organise this service must first become complete-changing the legal base on which details will then be established. When aiming to survive this plan from the current executive stress that it is still early to know, due to the process of transforming the Kosovo Security Force into the Army, “Zer” writes away.
While connoisseurs of security issues are sceptical that mandatory military service could begin four years ago. With such a priority, Albin Kurti had also competed in the October 6th elections, where he gave several deadlines for the preparation of this arrangement.
