Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is aiming to make military service mandatory. In the government's plan, harmonised between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo, it is stressed that they will start preparations for mandatory military service in line with the best practices and standards of NATO countries.
But procedures on how the government plans to do such a thing “Kurti” have not yet let them know. The Ministry of Defence has stressed to the newspaper “Voice” that to organise this service must first become complete-changing the legal base on which details will then be established.
