Election Commission Chairman Hawa Alam Nuristan said on Tuesday that Ghan has been re-elected president with 50.64 per cent of the vote.
According to her, Ghan's main rival, Abdullah Abdullah, has come up second with 39.52 percent.
Ghani's opponents say the September 28th elections have been forwarded to mass fraud and technical problems, due to biometric equipment used for the vote.
Voter turnout has also been low by only 1.8m votes counted.
Almost one million votes were cast due to irregularities.
Afghanistan has about 37 million people and 9.6 million registered voters.
