The United States says they will send a plane to Japan to bring in passengers in quarantine to the US on the Diamond Princess.
The American Embassy in Tokyo said today that the US plane will arrive on 16 February recommending additional “caution so that American citizens can return to the US for monitoring to metare.
Passengers of this ship will be sent to quarantine for 14 days as soon as they arrive in the US, and if they choose not to travel on this plane, they will not be able to return to the US “for a time period of”, the embassy said.
The passenger ship has been in quarantine since it arrived in Yokohama on February 3rd, after a person landed in Hong Kong before the ship sailed toward Japan had been diagnosed with the new choreography.
There are about 3,700 passengers aboard the ship, with 67 of them diagnosed with the new virus, Japanese authorities have reported.
