Turkey's President Recep Tayip Erdoğan, over the attack of the Syrian regime on Turkish soldiers in Idlib, said: “They will pay a very heavy (high) price as long as they attack our soldiers”, reports the Anadolu Agency (AA).

During the speech at the awards ceremony for citizens' merits in Ankara, Erdoğan expressed Allah's mercy on the martyrs who lost their lives during the faithless attack undertaken yesterday by the Syrian regime in Idlib. He also gave quick healing to wounded soldiers and expressed condolences to the families and relatives of the fallen martyrs.

After recalling yesterday's summit, Erdoğan said that tomorrow at the meeting of the AK-party group, he will announce steps to be taken on the Syria issue and steps to be taken after that.

We have given the Syrian side the necessary response to the highest level. They are seriously facing multiple problems, especially in Idlib, but these are not going to continue. They will pay a heavy price as long as our soldiers attack. I'm going to share these steps with public opinion tomorrow, Erdoğani said.
