Military maneuvers called “Defender Europe” will be the reason for sending 20 thousand American troops to Europe with heavy weapons.
The maneuvers are occurring at a time when NATO is facing criticism from all sides for its role and effectiveness.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the size of the maneuver is a reminder of the coalition force.
Although most exercises will take place in Baltic countries, Stoltenberg said that in no way is the story of power to Russia.
