Two ATK officials arrested, bribed 50 euros

“With the date 13.02.2020 Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption (DHKEK), either Regional Unit for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption (NJRHKEK) Pristina has accepted information on which it was suspected that two ATK tax inspectors during regular inspections conducted in a business, with locations in Fushë Kosovo, have faced several irregularities and in order not to punish the owner, by the same one had demanded and received bribes worth 50 (five), Euro”, said in the communique.
After receiving the information, necessary investigative actions have been undertaken, where case evidence has been provided, like a 50m currency owned by one of the suspected persons.
“The suspects have been escorted to the offices of NJHRKEK Pristina, who have been interviewed in the quality of persons suspected in the presence of defence lawyers, and after consulting the prosecutor with the suspected guardian persons has been pronounced the detention measure for 48 hours”, the Police Community said.
