Dehar is dead under still unknown circumstances in Prizren prison on December 5, 2016.
He, along with six others accused of attacking the Kosovo Assembly building, was arrested in August 2019.
But he found death inside his cell.
Political adviser Erzen Vraniqi, of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, has reminded Dehar of his birthday with a saying by Kurt, 2018.
On February 26, the birthday of Astrit Dehar, if we want the time of heroes and martyrs to be left behind, we must realize that this is not done until it is brought down at the same time, both dominant tyranny and civic indifference.

Currently, the Astrit Dehar case has been passed by the Constitutional Prosecution in Prizren to the jurisdiction of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK).
