A new anniversary with new expectations

Kosovo is marking another anniversary of its independence, without having to close the dialogue with Serbia and reaching the agreement on normalising reports as two sovereign states. Even after 12 years of declaring independence, reaching this agreement is being viewed by the United States of America and the European Union as essential towards overcoming barriers Kosovo has to round its international subjectivity with membership in the United Nations Organisation (OKB) and moving towards membership one day even in the European Union (BE) and NATO.
The 12th anniversary of independence, from the internal political perspective, finds Kosovo with a governing rotation as a result of the October 6th, 2019 parliamentary elections, when the political change of forces that were once in the opposition and are now in power took place.
With Albin Kurt at the helm of the coalition government that was achieved between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo, voters who entrusted it to the vote await the change, as well as the international community that remains curious if there is now a leader who will lead the processes forward.
Since Kurt's new government has not finished a month's work, everything remains in reception, analysis and assumptions.
Number “X” of recognition
Like past anniversarys, Kosovo celebrates as the most isolated country on the old continent, without any clarity about visa liberalisation, a process that Kosovo leadership and citizens have been waiting for since 2010.
Once, even Kosovo's EU integration process remains seriously challenged by the fact that there are still five member states of this union that do not recognise it as a state.
The paradox following the state of Kosovo is also the number “X, ” unknown to countries that know it as a state.
Since marking the first jubilee of independence two years ago, Kosovo counted 116 recognitions, while on its 11th anniversary and less on this year's 12th anniversary of independence, none of the institutions can confirm it more accurately. /rel/
