Ambassador Costet meets Vjosa Osmani as chief parliament

Through a communique directed to the media, the Directorate for Media and Public Relations, has announced that the meeting will be held at 10:30 in the chairman's Cabinet.

“Republic of Kosovo Speaker Vjosa Osmani awaits US Ambassador to Kosovo Philip S at the meeting. Cosnett.”, says the communique.

By contrast, Osmani has been elected head of the Kosovo Assembly at yesterday's session called on just this issue. It received 65 votes for, no vote against and no abstention.

Osmani has pledged that the Assembly will oversee the Government of Kosovo.

She has become the first woman to lead the legislative body in Kosovo.

Previously with the Kosovo Parliament, Kole Berisha, Nedzat Daci, Jakup Krasniqi, Isa Mustafa, Kadri Veselini and Glauk Konjufca have led.
