Political analyst Faton Abdullahu says Albin Kurti is not deliberately removing the tax, though he would have to do so today.

He says Kurt is expected to increase pressure on him, from internationals and even from coalition partner, so that I can then submit the removal of the tax as hisigmatic decision.

Abdullah writes:

Today the Kosovo government would have to come up with a unique attitude towards the tax. But the government Kurti has no unique stance. That attitude should be her removal. But there's only one reason this isn't happening. The current government, especially LV, has, with its traditional and long-term approach to its own feet, in addition to constantly arguing that the votes have won them even on this cause of refusal and punishment against Serbia. So these days government Kurt is not removing the tax but waiting to increase the pressure to remove it even from the international factor, especially the U.S., to increase pressure from the internal factor, especially the partner. The LDK, in order to then remove the tax, appears and be offered as Kurti's pragmatic response to new circumstances. Meanwhile, Kurti will be on the job and those excited about it have no idea that without the removal of the tax, without full co-ordination with the US on dialogue with Serbia, Kurti's work, and Kosovo's goods will be questioned more and more. The evil that is happening to Kosovo within the time of the rejection of the tax removal is rapidly increasing as snow avalanches.
