Australia's National University (ANU) published a report on the impact of fires that lasted about six months and were taken over only last week.
The report found that of the 25 million people, about 3 million of them have been directly affected by fire, and about 15 million others indirectly.
An estimated 11 million acres [11 million ha] were also registered.
