So it was said at a conference, organised by the Oncology Clinic and the Association of Oncologists of Kosovo, on the occasion of the World Cancer Day note, where it became known that a new thousand and 586 cases of cancer were recorded during 2019 at the Oncology Clinic.
Oncology Director Ilir Kurtishi announced that even this year, they have faced numerous challenges with patients affected with cancer, but, according to him, despite challenges, they have tried to provide services to all.
Kurtish said that 217,143 services were given in chemotherapy during 2019.
He announced that in Kosovo the number of cancer cases is smaller compared to other countries. While the chairman of the Oncologists' Association, Arben Bislimi, said that cancer is the second deadliest disease, so we have to fight it.
In contrast, the purpose of the World War Against Cancer Day is awareness and information of citizens about the disease.
