Officers in co-operation with Marine and Air Force Services managed to identify the floating vehicle on the coast of Panama during Wednesday's (February 19th) evening. Four Colombians fell into police handcuffs, and over 5 tonnes of drugs were seized.
In a statement to the media, the country's minister of public order has not provided details about the identity of those arrested, as well as about the kind of narcotics seized. He says such submarines have already been captured in the United States and Europe.
Not even the destination for drugs has been known so far. Such tools are very difficult to identify at sea and require the cooperation of some security forces to capture them.
