This week decide how lost classes will be compensated

Minister Rame Likaj in an answer has indicated that the decision will be made on the basis of instructions the UN's Department of Pre-university Education and based on the new school calendar. Rol, according to him, will also have reports of municipal education directors.
“In that road map presents compensation to four days that have not been covered in this period, another 5 days of the second half anniversary, tasks, their assessment, and a kind of teaching compensation of up to 7 days for students who have lacked more than 5 days of education, if this is reported by municipal directorate”, he said.
The chairman of the Council of Parents of Kosovo, Ymret Resiti, has demanded that every lost hour be compensated, since students are very stuck. He also requested that the Ministry before making a decision consult the Parents' Council.
And it's very important that our students keep the learning process closer. Lost hours for which we have not agreed that a week earlier the learning process and extended rest should be replaced, because it is in the interest of students especially in this invisibility year, when they start working at a reduced time of”, he said of Cohen.
The school year in Kosovo has started two weeks late, on September 14th. Even the half anniversary ended a week earlier, with government reasoning, that we can prevent the spread of Covid-19 to schools. This decision was highly criticized by the Parents ' Council.
The second half anniversary is expected to begin on January 18th. According to the Ministry, even on the second half-year lesson will take place according to three scenarios, scenario A lesson in schools, scenario B combined learning and script C lessons from a distance.
In the course of three months, over 4 thousand students, teachers, and technical staff were affected in schools. Most infected people had teachers, where of 15,795 tested, 2,301 came positive. Meanwhile, 6,090 students tested 1,470 were positive, while the number of technical staff infected with Covid-19 was 284 out of 2,688 tested.
At the pre-university level in Kosovo are 345,540 students. There are a total of 9,393 children at the pre-school level alone, 23,650, at the middle level of 234,590, and at the middle level of 77,907 students.
