The year 2020 was a year of dramatic and political developments in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
With US President Donald Trump's mediation on September 4th, a moment has been reached that many called historic.
At the White House, Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, each separately signed a document with 16 pledges for economic normalisation between the two countries.
The godfather of this deal was the presidential minister for dialogue, Richard Green.
Among the provisions of the accord was the mortorium for Kosovo to halt for a year the application for membership in international organisations, and Serbia to halt the non-recognising campaign of state independence.
Then the feasibility of Uyman Lake, which must be made from the American Energy Department to the point of mutual Kosovo-Israel recognition.
Most of the September 4th agreement contains pledges for realising infrastructural connection through railway, air and road to the Pristina-Belgrade relief.
On the last day of 2020, the incumbent Prime Minister, Avdullah Hoti, signed agreements with US Ambassador Philip Costnet on American investment incentives.
This agreement we signed today is due to the September 4th, all who have criticised this agreement signed at the White House are now seeing the benefits we have, Hoti said Thursday morning.
As for the European-mediated dialogue situation remained in place.
Two high-level Hoti-Vucciq meetings with emissary mediating for dialogue Miroslav Lajcak and EU diplomacy chief Joseph Borell were held.
Tens of negotiations were also on the expert level, but no agreement was reached.
Of the European Union, it remains hopeful that for New Year's 2021, the parties will find legal reconciliation.
But in Pristina and Belgrade, attitudes are far apart.
The Kosovo side says the agreement has only mutual recognition, while Serbians have simply declared that the final should produce compromise, but by no means recognition of the state of Kosovo on the part of Serbia.
