Justice Minister Selim Selimi has made the proposal. He has clarified that the processing group will be responsible for preparing analysis for the establishment of the Institute for Research into crimes committed during the war in Kosovo.
“Presenting to you for review and adopting a proposal for the establishment of the working Group for the preparation of Analysis for the establishment of the Institute for Investigation of Crimes Done During the War in Kosovo”.
We have voted such a proposal days ago, but in the case of approval some technical concessions have been taken, and after consultations with the prime minister, we have estimated that this issue must be proposed again”.
The co-operative group will be preparing the analysis for the establishment of the Institute for Research of Crimes committed during the war in Kosovo, and the Ministry of Justice will present analysis with the options to be followed for the establishment of the Institute for War Crimes Research in Kosovo”.
“Based on the importance and need of having the record of war crimes, the establishment of a mechanism on this issue, is one of my priorities as justice minister and therefore the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, so I invite you for approval of this” proposal.
A decision has also been made at this meeting, with Minister Selimi's proposal for the replacement of the Institute for Investigation of War Crimes, respectively the appointment of the representative of the Department of Traditional Justice as the successor unit of the Institute for War Crimes Investigations to the Government Commission for Recognition and Verification of the Status of Rapistered Persons during the War, EO reports.

The proposal is based on Article 8, paragraph 11, under paragraph 11.5 of Law No. 04/L-172 for changing and completing Law No.04/ L-054 for the status and rights of martyrs, disabled, veterans, members of the Kosovo Liberation Army, victims of sexual violence of war, civilian victims and their family, so that the commission will be complete and functional, I invite you for approval of this proposal ♫x1>.
