The vaccine will first be taken from people older than 80 years old, health workers, caretakers and the home of the elderly, the National Health Service announced.
Britain approved the Pfizer/Bitetech vaccine as an emergency last Wednesday. About 40 million doses have been ordered, and since everyone needs two, it is estimated that 20 out of 67 million people will be vaccinated, Reuters reports.
Some 800,000 doses will be available in the first week, and vaccines have already arrived from Belgium and have been preserved in safe places where their quality is controlled, the Great Britain Ministry announced.
