Arriving some effective vaccines against COVID-19 and its accompanying optimism should not reduce caution because they will not eliminate the virus, the World Health Organization warned.
“Vaxes do not mean zero COVID”, Mike Ryan confirmed, in charge of emergency situations at the UN agency, explaining that vaccines alone cannot work.
We have arrived (...) at a coveting point of pandemic. We urge people to continue making efforts in front of COVID-19”, he added, reports ATS.
At his side, the official in charge of managing pandemic in O BSH, American Maria Van Kerkovo, called on the population to really reflect what they do during the holiday season of the year in order to limit the transmission of the coronary.
The decisions we make now (...) could mean life or death for us, for our family”, she added.
Coronervirus' pandemic, affecting 65 million people and causing more than 1.5 million deaths, has begun to accelerate worldwide, while mass vaccine projects have been defined in some countries.
“Progress conducted in the introduction of vaccines gives all of us moral and we can already start to see light at the end of the” tunnel, WHO General Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebrreesus stressed.
