Nrvtag, which deals with new respiratory threats, concluded with “moderate confidence” that the new strain of the virus indicates a significant “efficiency achievement” compared to other variants, the BBC reports.
Scientists have also concluded on this new version, called VUI-202012/01 (first person under investigation in December 2021), which showed exponential growth during the period when there were national closing measures.
The new version, it says, could be “sification” to monitor, so frequency estimates can be underestimated and that there is still not enough data to know why this variant spreads more easily than others.
Several cases of corruption infection with the new strain have been reported internationally, but a <x0-export” confirmed by Great Britain in Australia has been reported.
The best data on re-infectation, the distribution of the age of infections and the mortality rate will be available next week, said in the record.
