“This is very good news”, he added in a pronomation for German state television ZDF.
He specifically spoke of the effect of Pfizer's vaccine BioNTech, which is currently being used in several parts of the world and will soon receive approval from the European Bars Agency.
An expert meeting by EU countries on this topic was held today, a ministry spokesman said.
A new corruption mutation has been discovered in Great Britain, and a number of European countries have reacted by suspending flights from the island. London has also announced strict restrictions on moving to some parts of the country.
London has announced that the new type of coronary is spreading 70 percent faster than the previous one.
Several cases have been reported in Denmark (nine) and from one in the Netherlands and Australia, according to the World Health Organization (OBSH).
Germany, which heads the EU presidency, has called for tomorrow a crisis meeting of experts from various countries to co-ordinate a response to the new threat, a German government spokesman said.
It is a meeting of the European Crisis Mechanism (IPCR), which the EU addresses in cases of major health, environmental and terrorist threats.
