Shpend Ahmeti reacted sharply after biased news that he shared help for “Masage Centres”

Ahmeti in a Facebook address has stated that the criteria are not “according to the contacts of the municipality” while showing that businesses are registered as such at the central ARBK.

The “Tititus like Shpend Ahmeti share such a seniority for these businesses are low-minded propaganda of even mean commitment. I didn't share specific funds, I haven't been part of the process of most importantly the Comeuna didn't make an assessment of who's honest and not. We're not even the police to evaluate whether it's anything illegal.

Such news was not conveyed at all by Periscop's editorial that managed to identify their biased approach.

Mayor Ahmeti, clinging to the provisions of citizens and of various portals regarding illegal activities for which these massage centres are suspected, said the municipality does not deal with such an assessment.

Businesses do not register in the municipality, nor do they get permission for work in the municipality. Businesses do not define activities in the municipality nor are classified in the municipality. Decisions to ban activities in Kosovo during the pandemic have not been made in the municipality.

But the municipality has decided to help the businesses hit during the pandemic with a fund you don't even find in other municipalities.

All micro and small businesses (registered at ARBK Central) before March 2019 have the application right. Micro and small business classification is done by the Tax Administration. We also demanded that businesses be directly hit by the government's decision to ban that activity directly through the code of activity.

So all of these criteria are not according to municipal whims.

To not be subjective we've given equal amounts to all businesses on a level. 7,000 have applied online in the transparent process. The list was sent to ATK to confirm whether they're from Pristina, whether they're micro and small and the code of activity.

There is no process of individual recognition of each app. That would make us subjective. We didn't go to any business to see what they were doing. We've taken state institutions responsible under the law to confirm whether they exist, whether they're registered and banned during the pandemic.

But it is that the Pristina municipality shares funds even for this portal that makes these propaganda. Because I as mayor don't share funds and it's not the municipal money in front of me. We don't even differ based on whether you lie or not. Otherwise, slander is also illegal.

One goal and help that has been fully agreed on, which benefits over 4 thousand businesses and tries to stain for short-term clicks.
