Serbian officials did not stop: The seal again uses the insulting expression "sceptari"

Serbia's Minister of Internal Affairs (MUP), Aleksandar Voulin, has again used the irreverent “sidari”, ignoring a court ruling in Serbia, under which the term is “polically incorrectly and offensive”. Voulin made comments during a visit to the Co-ordination Administration for Kosovo in Kursumli, located near the border with Kosovo. He donated two vehicles and other safety equipment to police members.
Frequent illegal cuts in this area are of concern to all state bodies of the Republic of Serbia, and we are particularly concerned because the gangs of Turkey are very often carrying weapons and fire opening”, Voulin said.
Earlier, Voulin had responded to criticism for using this irreverent term, saying that “ai would continue to call Albanians what they call themselves”.
At the end of 2018, the Court of Appeals in Belgrade confirmed the Supreme Court's first degree ruling in Belgrade on the indictment of Anita Mitiq, a former activist of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights against the picture “Informer”. The court sanctioned the use of the term “Shiptar” as hate language. There is also the Commission for the Protection of Equality, Brnakica Jankoviq, under which the call of the Albanian people “Shiptar” is derogatory and insulting to members of that nationality.
She presented the opinion that two photoides in Serbia violated the Law for Prevention of Discrimination because they called Albanians “Shiptar”
The same irreverent term, Volin had used it early in October, prompting reactions in Pristina and Tirana.
Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has called on Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, to condemn the Minster Voul's statement. Rama had said that he wished the Vulin's statement to be a joke “otherwise this would be a desperate display of miserable thinking“, which the Serbian president must condemn “without any doubt at all“.
On October 2nd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora in the Government of Kosovo, Melzal Haradinaj-Stubla, had sent a letter to the ambassadors of Quinti's countries, where Aleksandar Vulin's xenophobia said”, due to the government's shameful and chauvinist movements.
Volin's statement was made after the signing of the agreement reached on 2 October between Kosovo and Albania, in which it is said that the Durres Port will meet Kosovo.
