Columbia County Attorney General Carl Racine's office revealed on Tuesday in a court that the deposit had occurred that day.
In a January 2020 trial process, Racine claimed that Donald Trump's real estate business and other subjects had misused nonprofit funds to enrich the Trump family.
According to the indictment, a nonprofit corporation exempted from taxes called “The 58th Presidential Committee” co-ordinated with the Trump family to pay a lot for the scope of events at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, Reuters writes.
Racine's judicial process claimed that in one case, the nonprofit organisation paid more than $300,000 to hold a private reception at the Trump Hotel for President Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric, on the night of the January 20, 2017 inauguration.
The district law requires that nonprofit organisations use their funds for their stated public purpose, not to benefit individuals or private companies,” said Racine earlier this year. His trial seeks to recover $1m allegedly directly in the Trump family business.
A White House spokesman did not immediately respond to the demand for comment. The inaugural committee has said its finances have been audited independently and that all money is being spent legally.
Although campaign funding laws limit the size of campaign contributions, the inauguration committees may accept unlimited donations, including from corporations. $107m raised by the inaugural Trump committee, led by real estate developer and investor Thomas Barack, were the largest in history, according to Federal Election Commission records.
Former aider of Trump Richard Gates' campaign served as deputy chairman of the inaugural committee.
Gates was one of several Trump collaborators convicted in the investigation of former Special Adviser Robert Mueller if Russia intervened in the 2016 elections.
