The ministry said the vaccine is more than 90 per cent effective for this age group.
Putin is 68 years old.
During a news conference on 17 December, Putin has said he will take the vaccine after “is resolved all formal questions”.
Russia has approved the Sputnik V vaccine on 11 August, making it the first choreographer vaccine to gain official approval.
According to Russian Government statistics, over three million people have been infected with coronarys in Russia since the pandemic began in the spring.
Of them, over 54 thousand patients have lost their lives. / REL
