Upon acknowledging information that a correctional official is suspected of distributing suspected narcotics subjects within Pristina's Pre-trial Centre, the necessary actions by the responsible security staff who have located the country, material trials and the suspected official have immediately been taken.
The Antidroga Police Unit of Kosovo, which has emerged at the scene of the event, has been arrested and accompanied to the police station for interviewing.
Police have also confiscated the suspected narcotics substance for further examination.
To the alleged correctional official, the suspension measures have been taken and the internal disciplinary procedure” has immediately been initiated, the USKK report said.
Kosovo's “Correcting service remains committed to combating negative phenomena, including combating smuggling, narcotics, corruption and misuse of the official position, and would in no way allow the risk of corrective institutions by such phenomena and actions”, it is said further in their announcement.
