While some wealthy nations have already started with the COVID-19 inoculation, poor countries will receive their doses only in the first half of next year, O head said today. BSH, Tedros Adamos Ghebrès.
“Mechanism COVAX, formed to enable equal access to COVID-19 vaccines worldwide, is expected to begin surrendering in the first half of next year”, he said, not to mention specific locations, reports ATS.
“We are proud to announce that COVAX has secured access to almost two billion doses of several promising vaccine candidates,” said Tedros.
According to O BSH, COVAX facilities are continuing talks with major pharmaceutical companies to register on the programme.
