Enver Hoxhaj has given the PDK's position more clarity about government involvement tonight or not.
“We don't have the will or the desire to be part of the government, but there are several topics of national character and the PDK is not the opposition to the state. Our cause is to serve and help the citizens and help the country”, Hoxhaj said on RTK's “Debat” show.
According to him, The PDK currently has returned to the base, meeting people on the ground with whom they have spoken about the recent shocks this party has received following charges by the Special Court.
“has a solidarity, there is a unity and determination in the PDK. We're a party built on ideal ideas, such as the state, independence, liberation and we're not going to give up”.
Speaking of the election of the new president, Hoxhaj has said the Special Court has violently interrupted President Thaci's mandate.
If someone wants to have PDK votes to elect the president, we think they should calculate that the candidate should be propped by the PDK and that we have made clear to everyone. So we don't have votes for candidates from the ruling coalition”, Hoxhaj has said.
However, he has added that the PDK is willing to talk to the president with everyone.
Hoxhaj has added further that he does not expect to be a candidate for president.
“I've been waiting and not prepared for my position in the PDK right now. But I've accepted it more socially as the proposal of Kadri Wessel, my friend. At least I wanted to, the others loved it and I would never be a candidate for President”, Hoxhaj said.
The UD of the PDK chairman said this party wants the president elected this year.
But the debate is what Kosovo president needs at this time of the Special Court crackdown. Which should be the profile of the person who should be in charge of the state. This is the main topic, and we as the PDK have the will to sit down and talk to everyone to give this topic direction. This does not mean entering government. We have no offer from the LDK to enter the government. It is not a topic in the PDK to enter the government”, Hoxhaj has said.
