The incumbent President Vjosa Osmani has started the third day of his visit to Albania with the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha.
After the meeting Basha said that thoughts have been exchanged at this meeting on all developments that have occurred, and underlined DP support for Kosovo institutions.
Basha has stressed that reports between Pristina and Tirana will undergo change after 25 April and that the prime minister's first decision says it will be the removal of the train on the Nation's Road.
He even spoke at the joint conference with Osman about the resolution to condemn the Serb genocide in Kosovo. For whom the resolution, even incumbent Vjosa Osmani, said it is a legitimate request Kosovo has made Albania the second state condemning the Serbian genocide and Kosovo.
“After April 25th there will be a radical turn, a radical change of Tirana's approach to total support of Kosovo institutions ... I'm proud that personally and as part of the DP we've done everything for Kosovo's independence shit its international recognition, and I'm extremely worried that at a difficult time in Kosovo, official Pristina and its institutions don't have the support it should have from Albania. This will change, and in this context I pledge that Albania's new Parliament will approve not only, with the delay even, the resolution to condemn the Serb genocide in Kosovo but also a particular framework that will force all institutions of Albania to be once again in total support of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo as it has been case until just a few years ago, Basha said.
He has said he will not let the pavilion be rewritten by the aggressor.
“We cannot allow history to be rewritten by the aggressors, we cannot allow that the values and principles for which the best of our nation was sacrificed for which they had the support of strategic allies to break through with those who continue to impose the aggressor that caused so much suffering, loss of life and blood during Yugoslavia's breakup wars, and in particular the genocide of 98/99. In this context we will continue to strongly support the Serbia-Kosovo dialogue, but without question the goal and the outcome is and it should be the mutual recognition of the two states to end a painful chapter and pave the way for democratic stability and European integration of all our societies. One of my first decisions as prime minister will be to remove the train on the Nation's Road, as well as negotiate with the Government of Kosovo for not putting any tax barriers on the Ibrahim Rugova highway”, Basha said.
The late president Vjosa Osmani has thanked Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha for his welcome. She stressed that two flags must be worked jointly for each other to wave.
“It is my primary task to speak with the voice that the citizens of Kosovo have given me to present their legitimate demands and to seek what they naturally require, so sincere co-operation as I have said is between the two sisters between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania... to work jointly so that the flag of Kosovo and Albania waves side to each other in all international organisations, not because it is a technical issue, but it is fundamental for empowering the citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo. We have two flags, we are two sovereign and independent states, but we are an invincible spirit and as such we would have to act between us but lay before the eyes of the people”, Osmani said.
Osmani has once again spoken of the request to Albania that between a resolution condemn the Serb genocide in Kosovo.
“I believe that our request as Kosovo's republic that Albania be the second post-Kosovo state to condemn the Serb genocide in Kosovo through a resolution is a completely legitimate requirement, which will not have to meet in delays or in question”, Osmani stressed.
While after this meeting, Osmani has been at Tirana City Hall, where he met with Mayor Erion Veliaj.
Osmani was awarded the “Key of Tirana” award by Veliaj.
After this meeting, Osman will also be received by former Albanian President Sali Berisha.
