Through a text on the social network Facebook, Zemaj said that the official application to GAV I- COVAX does not mean that Kosovo will not use other ways to provide additional vaccines as needed.
He has made it known how the aim is to vaccinate population groups that are most exposed and endangered by coronavirus, such as health officials, elderly people and chronically ill people, staffs involved in the management of the epidemiological situation related to COVID-19, but without excluding any categories that should be processed against COVID-19.

I signed the official application today to provide the vaccine against you. COVIDD-19 in the GAV global alliance I- COVAX, while applying for technical assistance to these vaccines, we did it days ago, through the team of experts, which I set out to provide this vaccine.
Official application in GAV I- COVAX does not mean that Kosovo will not take other ways to provide additional vaccines, as necessary, beyond the 20% of free vaccines (or about 360 thousand vaccines) taken from COVAX, with the aim being to keep the most exposed and endangered categories from COVID-19.
Our goal is to vaccinate population groups that are most exposed and endangered by COVID-19, such as health employees, elderly people and chronically ill people, the personal of services engaged in managing the epidemiology situation related to COVID-19... but without excluding any categories that should be vaccinated against COVID-19, fulfilling the legal obligation.
Aware that providing vaccines is a duty to preserve the public health of the population, the Ministry of Health has established contact with GAV several months ago. I- COVAX, in order to provide the vaccine for our citizens. Fortunately, Kosovo is listed among states that 20% of the vaccine against COVID-19 will receive it free via the GAV global alliance I- COVAX, until the rest of you buy it yourself.
