The shift's just over. Even though he hasn't eaten bread in eight days, Secretary of the Nurse Union Enlyrat Duraku has not stopped work.
He's continuing to serve patients affected by Ovid 19 But for more than a week, Duraku has held a hunger strike, and for that he has a reason.
During the hunger strike, the nurse says she has had health problems. Even during the shift Tuesday night, the emergency team had to intervene.
After that, Health Minister Andmend Zemaj is interested in his situation.
Duraku, already chief nurse at the clinic dealing with patients with Covid19, says the payment for the 18-euro nurse's night shift is shameful.
For these frustrations of Durak and his nurses' colleagues, the Kosovo Infermies Union has held a meeting today with Health Minister Andmen Zemaj and U.d. USKKUK Director Valbon Krasniqi.
After this meeting, nurses warned union action in case they did not meet their demands.
The latter have given the ultimatum to the Government by Friday to meet the requirements.
With that promise, Duraku interrupted the strike pending a decision by relevant institutions.
