Nasim Haradinaj for the first time will appear before Special tomorrow as charged

The court has announced that the first presentation by Nasim Haradinaj as an accused will take place Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at 1500.

Haradinaj's first showing as accused will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at 1500. Gucati's first appearance as accused will be held Friday, December 18th, at 11:00x1>, the announcement said.

The Court's announcement said on December 11, 2020, the Kosovo Specialised Chambers Procedure Judge confirmed the indictment filed on October 30th 2020 by the Special Prosecutor against Hysni Gucatit and Nasim Haradinaj for criminal acts against justice management, specifically for obstructing official persons in performing official duties, for fear of witnesses, for revenge and for violating the secret of the procedure.

With confirmation of the indictment, Mr. Gucati and Mr. Haradinaj has the status of the accused in front of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers, and now the phase of their preliminary procedure begins, starting with their first presentations.

On 25 September 2020, Gucati and Haradinaj were arrested as suspects by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, with the support of EULEX and Kosovo police and transferred to the detention facility of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague. Haradinaj's first appearance as a suspect was held on 29 September 2020, and Gucati's first appearance as a suspect was held on 1 October 2020.
